HOW DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL WORK?

Our laser machine is attracted to pigment (colour) in the hair. Once the laser light beams, the hair absorbs that light and naturally converts it into heat, which will then heat up the vascular supply and destroy it. The vascular supply is what "feeds" hair growth, no vascular supply = no life = no hair! 

 

HOW LONG DOES EACH TREATMENT TAKE? 

Treatment times are different for each individual client. We pride ourselves on accuracy and perfection. Clinical guidelines recommend approximately 10 to 15 minutes for a thorough Brazilian/Underarm treatment, 20 to 30 minutes for areas such as arms and legs and about 45 to 60 minutes for bigger areas like chest and back.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED? 

The amount of treatments required will vary from person to person. We recommend a minimum of 6 treatments, this will ensure that all hairs are effectively treated.

Once a course of treatments has been completed, we re-assess the area and move forward with another course of treatments (if required) or we recommend a course of maintenance. Maintenance treatment times will depend on the individual client.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO COME TO APPOINTMENTS?

Re-treat times vary from person to person and the area being treated. 
As a rule we follow clinical guidelines which recommends 4-6 weeks for facial areas brazilian and and underarms, 8-10 weeks for chest, stomach and back and 10-12 weeks for arms and legs. Receiving treatments sooner than required will reduce the effectiveness of the laser. When having laser as a treatment the hair needs to be in a particular phase of its life, hence why multiple treatments are required and why we need to wait a certain amount of time before re-treating.

CAN I HAVE LASER IF IM PREGNANT?

Laser hair removal has NOT been proven to be safe/unsafe during pregnancy.
To this current date, no clinical studies have been conducted and as a result of this we will not treat clients that are pregnant. 

If you become pregnant during a course of treatments please advise the clinic and they will advise you the best steps to take.
